THE STORY:

Three sisters are abandoned in the middle of a forest by their father.  Facing an uncertain future, one decides to walk one way around the world, one decides to walk the other way around the world, and one decides to stay right where she is.  After 20 years of having crossed oceans, toppled lighthouses, and conquered armies - the two wanderers find themselves back at the same place in the woods, where the third sister waits.

WHY MS. PRICE CHOSE THIS PLAY:

I was looking for a play for our unique situation/year with meaning/heart but also one that was full of levity/joy.  I also needed a show that was do-able in our timeline (which has TONS of calendar/venue disruptions including fall break, choir/band/orchestra concerts, dance rehearsal/show, 2 days pf parent-teacher conferences, band competitions, OYO rentals, etc.)

 

"This Girl..." fit my hopes and dreams for a fall play PERFECTLY.  When I read the script I was immediately hooked.  It's a story that is full of joy, adventure, imagination, and the dream of a brighter tomorrow. It's all about finding self and finding home in uncertain times, and I know our audiences will fall in love with this playful modern fairy tale that is meaningful and fun for all ages. REHEARSAL CALENDAR 

Note: Due to our restricted timeline and MANY calendar disruptions this year, actors considered for a role MUST be available for ALL Saturday rehearsals, the final 2 weeks' rehearsals, AND all (or almost all) week-day rehearsals listed on the rehearsal calendar.  (There are NOT a lot of rehearsals for this show.) Misrepresenting your availability on your Conflict Calendar (which is in your Audition Packet and required at Auditions) will result in the loss of your role (if cast), so be honest - AND be sure you've discussed the schedule with parents.
